At The Haven, every resource, including education, mentoring, and material aid, is available to you for free and in a completely confidential environment.
Earn While You Learn
Our Earn While You Learn program provides both education and material support. Our free classes cover topics like prenatal care, infant safety, parenting basics, healthy relationships, and life skills such as budgeting and time management.
As you learn, you’ll earn points that can be redeemed for essential baby and maternity items through our boutique, including diapers, clothing, car seats, and more.
Mother’s Keepers Program
We also offer a program called “Mother’s Keepers” to provide in-home practical and emotional support during your first year of motherhood. Here’s how it works:
- We’ll match you with a caring, trained volunteer who will come to your home to help with daily tasks—like preparing meals, tidying the house, or babysitting older children—so you can focus on bonding with your new baby.
- These visits can also include enjoying time together, like taking a walk or chatting over tea.
- The program is free to families with babies under one year old, but you must be present during visits so the volunteer can assist effectively and safely.
Material Aid for Growing Families
In addition to Earn While You Learn and our in-home support, The Haven connects you with community resources for housing, childcare, counseling, and more. If needed, we’ll guide you toward additional programs that align with your needs.
